Board approves DHS roof bid, personnel hires and first reading of policy updates

The board approved a list of midyear graduates (names read aloud) who, pending completion of finals and requirements, will be conferred diplomas in December and may return to participate in spring graduation ceremonies.
Personnel items approved included new hires, status changes and coaching appointments with effective dates through the 2025–26 school year as read into the record.
On policy, the board approved the first reading of multiple policy updates and one new policy (2.02.70) addressing discrimination and harassment tied to the state ‘Racism Free Schools’ law; curriculum and instructional materials policy language was also reviewed. These were first readings and will return for final approval at a subsequent meeting.
