Commissioners honor long‑serving employees; schedule prosecutor caucus and approve PTO requests

The Hamilton County Board of Commissioners opened the Dec. 8 meeting with recognition of employees who reached 30, 35, 40 and 45 years of county service. Gina Rennick led the presentation and listed employees by tenure; the board singled out Lynette Duvall for 45 years of service and Commissioner Steve Dillinger was named among long‑service honorees.
Commissioners also approved a request from the county elections administrator to hold a caucus in this courtroom on Monday, Dec. 29 at 5 p.m. to replace Prosecutor Greg Garrison, who announced his resignation. The motion to schedule the caucus was moved and carried; the public meeting notice and logistics are to be handled by elections staff.
Separately, Commissioner Turner requested PTO carryovers for two employees (Jan Pickett and himself). Turner reported the requested carryover would allow use of accrued hours between now and a future date; the board approved the PTO extensions. (The meeting transcript contains a date that appears to be a typographical error; the county confirmed the intent was to carry PTO into calendar year 2026.)
The board recessed briefly following the regular business and indicated it would convene an executive/staff workstation session afterward.
