Cottage Grove presents Patriot Awards recognizing supervisors who support Guard and Reserve

At its Dec. 3 meeting the council hosted an ESGR Patriot Awards presentation; Everett Doolittle, assistant ombudsman for Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve, presented a Patriot Award recognizing supervisors who support service members, including praise for Fire Chief John Pritchard.
The Cottage Grove City Council paused regular business on Dec. 3 to present Patriot Awards recognizing supervisors who support Guard and Reserve service members.
Everett Doolittle, assistant ombudsman with the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR), explained the award"recognizing an individual, a supervisor that goes above and beyond" in support of service members. Fire Department staff highlighted the support provided to service members by supervisors and the department; Deputy Fire Chief Nick Aragoni and Chief John Pritchard were among those recognized for a supportive workplace culture. Chief Pritchard accepted the recognition and thanked colleagues for their support of service members and families.
The presentation concluded with a group photo and council thanks to ESGR and the award recipients.
