The Napa County Board of Supervisors voted unanimously Dec. 9 to extend the employment agreement of County Executive Officer Ryan Allsup through Dec. 31, 2029. Chief Human Resources Officer Christine Berseno presented the item, which aligns CEO review timing with department-head review schedules and seeks to provide continuity in county leadership.
The amendment also includes an annual waiver of $15,000 of the remaining relocation-incentive loan balance and a proposed delegation to the Director of Housing and Homeless Services to sign a subordination agreement if needed as part of refinancing the CEO's primary residence. Berseno said the extension provides leadership stability and supports ongoing organizational improvement efforts.
Board members praised Allsup's progress on internal operations and community outreach. The board approved the amendment and related delegation by unanimous vote.
