The finance and legislation committee advanced a resolution authorizing the mayor to participate in the Ohio Public Works Commission’s state capital improvement and local transportation investment programs and to execute required contracts for the city’s 2026 resurfacing project.
"This is just our regular 2026 resurfacing," Mayor Mueller said, adding the application and related paperwork must be passed by Dec. 19 to meet program deadlines. Staff told council the 2026 resurfacing plan had been approved and was ready to move forward.
Council made a motion to bring the resolution up and seconded it; the caucus transcript records the motion and second but no roll-call vote or final adoption appears in the recorded discussion.
Next steps: the resolution advanced out of committee for full council consideration so the city can meet the OPWC application deadline.
