Karen (Speaker 12) explained the state will assume mileage payments for nonemergency medical transportation beginning July 1, while counties will still process meals and lodging payments and must ensure provider credentialing; the county will submit a contract with SEMCAC to the state for approval.
Finally, the board voted to initiate competitive recruitments for a 100% state/federal‑funded child‑support officer and for a child‑protection social worker (a 24/7 on‑call role).
