District says test data are embargoed; board to hold budget workshops and grant $100 supply allocation to teachers

"The word embargoed means that it is still held by the state. And we do not have the authority to release it as of yet," Campbell said, explaining that some districts have filed appeals and the data must remain restricted until NYSED's release.
In a related budget update, Assistant Superintendent for Finance Kimberly Roaring outlined the district's budget development timeline, including staffing verification, reviews of retirements and vacancies, and the use of a modified zero‑based budgeting approach. Roaring said staff propose a series of public budget workshops — a "budget deeper dive" — starting Jan. 27 to provide more detailed discussion prior to regular meetings.
Roaring also said all teacher contract members will receive a $100 supply allocation to support classroom materials and help address late‑year gaps in instructional supplies.
What happens next: the district plans a full board presentation of state testing and ESSA accountability determinations when NYSED releases the embargoed results; the board will consider the budget workshops and the January rollover budget at upcoming meetings.
