The Planning & Zoning Commission approved a one-year extension for the Juniper Ridge preliminary plat on Dec. 9, 2025, moving the expiration date for the four-lot, two-tract subdivision to Dec. 9, 2026.
City staff said the 2.12-acre Juniper Ridge parcel — annexed to the city and zoned R12 following completion of the annexation and PUD approvals — remains on schedule for infrastructure construction in 2026 but that the applicant requested extra time to finalize financing and contracting. Staff reported that departmental reviews raised no objections and that the previously approved 19 conditions on the preliminary plat remain in force.
Commissioner McCracken made the motion to approve the extension; Commissioner Coppas seconded. The motion passed by unanimous voice vote.
Next steps: the applicant will continue engineering and financing work and must comply with the existing conditions tied to the original preliminary approval before final plat or construction submittals.
