At the Dec. 8 meeting the Leonardtown Town Council approved three budget amendments and authorized the purchase of a 2019 tram trailer.
The treasurer (Speaker 10) explained budget amendment BA2026-100 covered four monitors purchased from Staples, funded by interest income; BA2026-101 provided $4,500 to import three additional years of utility billing history into the town’s new UV4 software; and BA2026-102 moved deferred Main Street Improvement Grant revenue into the fiscal year matching the expenses. Council moved, seconded and approved the amendments together.
Council also approved the purchase of a used 2019 tram trailer from the Town of Ocean City for $20,000 after staff confirmed budget availability (budgeted amount noted in packet as $30,000). The trailer purchase passed on a voice vote.
Council received a brief deputy’s report from Deputy Will Nomi and heard announcements about planning commission items and recent Main Street grant activity. The meeting then returned to regular business.
