The Franklin County Commission approved a series of routine commission orders during a short meeting that included contract renewals, vehicle and equipment approvals, and a consent agenda.

Commissioner business began when Speaker 1 introduced Commission Order 2025-328 to renew the continuing law-enforcement contract with the Missouri Sheriffs Association; Speaker 3 moved the item, Speaker 1 seconded, and the commission approved the order by voice vote. The board then approved Commission Order 2025-329 to renew a contract with VISTA Counseling to provide mental-health services to first responders; the motion carried after Speaker 3 moved and Speaker 2 seconded.

On fleet and equipment matters, commissioners approved Commission Order 2025-330 to purchase a Ford Expedition special service vehicle for the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office from Corwin Ford Republic. They also approved Commission Order 2025-331 to rent a Hyundai D6 dozer from Van Keppel for one month for the Franklin County Highway Department. Speaker 3 explained the Highway Department needs a larger machine “so they’re gonna rent it” to “doze it all out flat” on property along Highway 50 that will be used for a shooting-range project; the commission voted to approve the rental.

The commission approved routine administrative items including a lease-extension amendment with Canon Solutions America for a Planning and Zoning multifunction printer (Commission Order 2025-332), and a statement of work with Sikich, LLP for the Auditor’s Office (Commission Order 2025-333). Commission Order 2025-334 was tabled after a speaker said a party had missed an extension deadline by several days and described the issue as a technical error.

Officials also approved Commission Order 2025-335 to appoint AT&T as a 9-1-1 service provider for Franklin County 911 Communications, Commission Order 2025-336 declaring certain equipment surplus and authorizing disposal, and Commission Order 2025-337 adopting the consent agenda, which included recorder-of-deeds fees and the Pacific Fire Protection annual financial report.

No elected-official or departmental reports were given. The commission recognized two Franklin County Sheriff’s Office employees (see separate item) and then adjourned.

Actions recorded in the meeting minutes indicate each of the listed commission orders was approved by the commission at the meeting except for Commission Order 2025-334, which was tabled.
