The Columbia Borough Architectural Review Board on Dec. 10 approved its prior meeting minutes and heard staff summaries of administrative approvals. Staff reported an in-kind shingle roof replacement at 456 Chestnut Street and repair of rotted porch wood at 503 Chestnut Street; both were described as in-kind exterior repairs.
A motion to approve the October minutes was made and seconded; the board voted in the affirmative and the chair declared the motion carried. The board later adjourned after tabling a separate Certificate of Appropriateness for 240 Walnut Street pending additional documentation from the property owner.
Board members also announced the next regular meeting is scheduled for Jan. 14, 2026 and said meeting start times will move from 7:00 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. No public comments were offered during the public-comment period at this meeting.
