District administrators updated trustees on construction and facility projects planned for summer 2026, including playground installations, transportation and maintenance‑building work and classroom refreshes at the high school.
Administration said layouts and vendor pricing for four elementary playgrounds were finalized and that the project falls within the proposed budget after receiving a vendor grant. Mark Payton, director of buildings and grounds, and Dr. Bogan were singled out for their work coordinating with vendors and principals.
At the high school, administrators now anticipate refreshing roughly 35 general‑purpose classrooms across the A, B and part of the C wings during the summer construction window; science labs will not be addressed this summer because they require additional planning. Transportation and maintenance buildings will break ground, and corridor and restroom updates are included in the scope. Staff said the playground work will start after the school year ends and should be complete before the next school year begins.
What’s next
Administration will continue user‑group meetings (teachers, student services, security, career‑tech) and finalize schedules and procurement details for summer construction.
