Board hears construction planning update; architects to present in January

District administration updated the board on construction planning for referendum projects, saying core planning teams for academics and athletics have completed initial meetings and user groups have provided design input.
Dr. Rowan reported that 50% construction documents have been delivered for the transportation and maintenance buildings and that the administration is reviewing those documents to develop a more detailed budget assessment. An optional meeting for Camden High School staff is scheduled for Thursday, Dec. 18, to share updates and answer questions. Wall Architects and the construction manager, Nicholas and Associates, are scheduled to present a detailed update to the board on Jan. 26.
Administrators emphasized community participation in user groups and noted subsequent budget and design decisions will return to the board for approval in January and February as designs and cost estimates are refined. No formal action was taken on the construction planning update at Tuesday’s meeting.
