Three student presenters gave building-level updates to the board. Eighth-grader Emily Oke (middle school) described recent events including the Halloween dance, talent show, an honors breakfast recognizing about 201 students, and a student-council holiday food drive that she said "collected hundreds of pounds" of food for local families and community partners. She also listed December concerts and a planned middle-school jazz performance with the high school.
Junior Madison Jasker presented high-school events: door- and hallway-decorating contests, the NHS canned-food drive (donations to the Tri Community Food Pantry), a gingerbread-house contest, a senior-class ice-skating trip, and a 'Day of Giving' at the Lancaster Youth Bureau serving over 600 families. Fourth-grader Allison Greer reported elementary activities including a mascot contest (new mascot: Wylie the Wildcat), upcoming musical performances, and school-wide PAWS celebrations tied to positive behavior.
Board members and the superintendent thanked the students and volunteers and highlighted upcoming concerts and the Wildcat boys basketball holiday tournament.
