Staff said Kate had circulated a program report and asked members to submit comments and attendance numbers to Kaye/Kate by the end of next week so the staff presentation to the county commission on Dec. 15 can include up‑to‑date participation figures. Committee members discussed how to count participants (single count per person vs. counting each event separately) and asked staff to clarify counting methodology.
Members cited local event examples to illustrate scale: one committee member estimated Buxtop Junction’s apple jam drew around 3,000 attendees, and 4‑H-related activities were discussed as part of annual participation counts. The committee tentatively moved its December meeting to Dec. 10 so members can review the presentation before the county commission packet for Dec. 15 is finalized.
The meeting closed after a brief scheduling discussion and confirmation that citizen stakeholder representatives (Dustin, Wayne and Kaye) are confirmed through 2028 and therefore do not require reappointment this cycle.
