The Seymour City Council reviewed responses to a request for qualifications for site-selector/economic-development services and identified Justin Jurowski as a candidate for follow-up. Jurowski, whose RFQ materials note prior work in Cisco and other small communities, proposed per-project or hourly arrangements and emphasized leveraging existing local assets.
Council members expressed interest in an initial site visit and a follow-up presentation. The council voted to authorize City Administrator Lauren to meet with Jurowski for a community tour and to invite him to present to the council at a future meeting. Council emphasized the desire for a sales-oriented briefing: a focused assessment of Seymour’s assets, potential target industries and an estimate of costs or fee approaches prior to any formal contract decision.
Staff noted Jurowski’s experience and said the engagement could be structured on a per-project basis, hourly consulting or a case-by-case arrangement depending on scope.
