Resident asks parks committee to avoid second-Wednesday conflicts; leadership to follow up

During the gallery/public comment period a resident raised a scheduling conflict: parks committee meetings are held on the second Wednesday of the month, the same night as two major neighborhood associations (Morris Park Community Association and Bronx Park East Community Association). The commenter requested that parks look for an alternate date when the agenda concerns those neighborhoods.
Committee members acknowledged the conflict. Jeremy and other leaders said they would try to work around the community organizations’ schedules but noted that the parks committee has constraints and that some alternatives might not be feasible; leadership agreed to add the issue to new business so it could be addressed before the full board meeting.
The meeting closed after a motion to adjourn by Vice Chair Richard Nelson. The motion was made on the record and the meeting ended with holiday greetings.
