Community Board 11 posts FY2027 needs draft, will await city response

Community Board 11 met remotely and reviewed a draft statement of community district needs for fiscal year 2027, which staff posted as a hyperlink on the meeting agenda for members and the public to review.

"I did share the statement of community district need, like, a little breakdown," said Stacy Ann, who summarized the draft and said the document and last year’s submission are available through the agenda link. Members were asked to read the draft and provide feedback.

Chairing the meeting, Duane Williams said the committee will wait for the city’s response next year to learn which requests were approved before taking further steps. "In the coming year when the city respond, we will have a discussion about that," Stacy Ann said, noting the board will follow up to determine which items were approved and why some requests were not funded.

Williams and other members said they want to hold regular meetings going forward to identify community needs earlier, reduce last-minute rushes before submission deadlines and refine request language where necessary. The board thanked prior volunteers and contributors for preparing the submission.

The meeting record shows no formal vote on the FY2027 draft at this session; staff said the full board already reviewed finances and that the draft was shared for informational review.
