Lee County adopts small fixes to disaster recovery plan after state review

At the Nov. 19 meeting Lee County planning staff presented an adoption hearing for amendments to the county's disaster recovery plan (referred to in the hearing as updates to the "LEAP plan"). Kate Burgess, principal planner, told the board the changes primarily fix references in the plan previously adopted last year and that state reviewing agencies returned the transmittal with no comments.
Staff recommended adoption. There was no public comment. An unidentified board member moved to adopt the proposed amendments based on staff recommendation; the motion was seconded and carried with no objections. The board adjourned after the vote.
Staff indicated no substantive changes requiring further state review, and recommended next steps are finalizing the adopted documentation and filing as required.
