Finch said 2280 Olinville Avenue is approximately 11 stories with about 10 apartments per floor and 2300 Olinville Avenue about 20 stories. She said local elected officials and tenant organizers have been urging tenants to file 311 complaints (housing maintenance complaints) and to copy the council member; HPD inspectors have responded and conducted visits to assess conditions.
Finch also noted tenant organizing activity among Pinnacle residents — including a union in buildings in other boroughs — and said the city’s housing agency is engaged in enforcement and inspection activities while negotiations continue. Committee members expressed concern that mortgage default could correlate with deferred maintenance and urged continued HPD oversight.
The committee did not take formal action on this item at the meeting; members said they will continue monitoring HPD inspections and tenant outreach.
