Warrick County board approves policy change limiting public‑comment time, affiliation agreements, donations and personnel actions

At the meeting’s action session the Warrick County School Corporation board approved routine business and a slate of agreements, donations and personnel actions.
Routine business: The board approved the minutes from the Nov. 11 meeting and the claims docket after a motion by Mister Mosby, seconded by Mister Francis. The motion carried.
Policy 13‑50: Doctor Redmond presented proposed edits to Policy 13‑50 (procedure to address the Board of School Trustees). She told the board the only substantive change was reducing the public‑comment 'do not exceed' time from five minutes to three minutes. The board moved to approve the updated policy (moved by Mister Baker; seconded by Mister Skinner) and carried the motion.
Agreements: The board approved a placement agreement with Western Governors University (presented by Doctor Doug Gresham) to provide clinical placements for licensure candidates (motion by Mister Mosby; seconded by Mister Franze). The board also approved a nonexclusive clinical affiliation agreement with Hamilton Point (brought by WPCC principal Mister Drew Girth), moved by Missus Wilhelmus and seconded by Mister Baker.
Donations: Several donations were accepted and approved, including $5,000 from Prime Foods to Oakdale Elementary, $500 from the Warrick Public Education Foundation for the reading program, $1,000 from the Keep Swimming Noah James Family Fund for Boonville High School swimming, and other school‑level gifts. The board moved to approve the donations and the motion carried.
Personnel: The Human Resources office presented certified and non‑certified hires, leaves, resignations and retirements. The board approved the recommended hires and leaves and acknowledged listed resignations and retirements with effective dates (examples listed in the Human Resources report).
No roll‑call counts for each vote were read into the record; actions were recorded with motions, seconders and voice votes of 'aye' and the clerk announced motions carried.
