Board reauthorizes Ivy Tech dual-credit agreement through 2030 for Castle High School

The Warrick County School Corporation board approved a reauthorization of a memorandum of understanding with Ivy Tech Community College to provide dual-credit coursework (Indiana College Corps) at Castle High School from the 2025–26 academic year through June 30, 2030, district officials said.
Jason Fisher, director of learning, told the board this is a reauthorization of existing services at Castle High School; the district already offers the coursework and the agreement simply continues that arrangement. Fisher said one additional course is still being implemented at another high school due to instructor credentialing requirements set by the receiving institution.
Board members asked for clarification about where additional dual-credit courses might be offered; Fisher said the challenge is meeting the credential requirements for teachers who deliver the courses. The board approved the reauthorization by voice vote.
Administrators said the Indiana College Corps structure is 30 credit hours intended to transfer to public universities in Indiana and that continued work is underway to expand course availability where staff meet partner credential standards. The board did not change curriculum requirements or the credentialing standards during the meeting.
