Board members asked who would manage requests; staff said principals would make discretionary decisions from the student assistance accounts. The chair amended the motion to describe the gift as approximately $54,000 and the board approved the motion by voice vote.
Next step: staff will send a board letter of thanks on behalf of the district and distribute funds to the elementary schools' internal accounts.
