He said Manville Soccer would propose contributing $1,000,000 in cash toward construction and asked the city to continue the conversation as an agenda item next year. "We are proposing today to be able to contribute 1000000 dollar cash con contribution to the city of Manville to build this park," he said.
Bridal Calavoda framed the economic case around tournament draw and visitor spending, citing estimates of thousands of nonresident visitors for tournament weekends and the potential for hotel and restaurant revenue. He also outlined later phases that could include baseball cloverleaf layouts and an indoor FIFA‑regulation facility.
Mayor thanked the presenters, noted the item was not on the formal agenda so discussion was limited, and asked staff to bring the proposal back as a formal agenda item in 2026. Manville Soccer offered to provide a detailed cost breakdown to the manager and city secretary for distribution to the council.
