Concord Township Council honored retiring Council Member Colleen P. Marrone with a resolution and tributes at its December regular meeting. The resolution, read into the record by staff, cited Marrone’s service on the township planning commission beginning in 1999, election as the first woman on the township Board of Supervisors in 2004, and service on the Delaware County Council from 2012 to 2018, among other civic roles.
Several council members and community speakers praised Marrone’s leadership, noting her work on grants, design standards and local committees. One speaker read a citation from the Pennsylvania House of Representatives congratulating Marrone on her retirement effective Dec. 31, 2025.
Council moved, seconded and voted to approve the resolution of appreciation by voice vote during the meeting. Council members also thanked Marrone during the meeting’s adjournment and asked her to make a motion to adjourn her final session; Marrone made the motion and the council voted in favor.
The council’s official resolution and the House citation were entered into the record and will be retained with the township’s meeting materials.
