Lisle board approves $1.4 million in invoices, amends sale agreement for 4703 Garfield Ave.

The Lisle Village Board on Dec. 1 approved routine business including $1,407,457.55 in invoices and passed an ordinance to amend the purchase-and-sale agreement for 4703 Garfield Avenue.
Village Manager Cook told the board that the ordinance’s amendment extends the inspection period and closing dates originally specified in the agreement and that both parties agreed to the extension before the original inspection period expired on Nov. 24, 2025. "The amendment has been agreed to by both parties prior to the expiration of the original inspection period," Cook said.
On the consent agenda, manager Cook reviewed items A through D, which included minutes from Nov. 17 (regular and Committee of the Whole) and closed-session minutes, and the invoice list. The board moved and seconded the motion to approve the consent items. Following roll call, Trustees Duffy, (Trustee) Sima, Grau, McGovern and Olsen voted "Aye"; Trustee Lesniak was recorded absent and the motion carried.
The ordinance amending the purchase-and-sale agreement for 4703 Garfield Ave. was presented immediately afterward. After the manager’s overview, the board again voted by roll call and approved the ordinance.
No public comment was made on either item during the board’s consideration. The board recessed later for executive session and the meeting adjourned after reconvening.
What’s next: The board flagged the Bennett Sports Complex for more intensive review at its meeting in two weeks and encouraged trustees to review the prior planning and zoning hearings and neighborhood testimony ahead of that discussion.
