Todd County’s Board of Commissioners used routine agenda votes on Dec. 16 to clear multiple warrants, licenses and contracts covering county operations.
Key approvals included the auditor warrants for November 2025 totaling $4,439,298.98, commissioner warrants totaling $185,403.12, Health & Human Services warrants ($117,524.33), and HHS SSIS warrants ($50,046.26). The board conducted a roll call on the auditor warrants and recorded affirmative votes from the commissioners present.
The board also approved a number of contracts and payments presented during the meeting: renewal of the county’s public defender contract with Peters Law Office for 2026; a final payment of $205,133.65 to Mark Sand and Gravel for a 2025 highway construction project; and purchase of two Microsoft data center licenses at a total of $12,890.08 to upgrade the county’s virtual host licensing. Facilities renovations to Annex 1 were authorized on a low bid from Miller Brothers Construction for the amount listed in the packet. The sheriff’s office received approval to renew the Vesta call‑handling system on a five‑year schedule at a five‑year cost cited as $178,721.10 to be funded from 911 funds.
Solid Waste business on the consent agenda also advanced: the board authorized three hauler licenses for 2026 (Long Prairie Sanitation, Waste Management and G&T Sanitation) and approved the Solid Waste Department’s proposed 2026 budget (projected revenue $3,443,400; projected expenses $3,484,615).
These routine approvals were moved, seconded and carried either by roll call (where specified) or by voice vote as recorded in the meeting minutes.
