Council authorizes Telestaff renewal and accepts PSRC grant for South 212th Street

Kent — Council approved two administrative items on Dec. 9: authorization for an IT subscription renewal and acceptance of a public-works grant.
James Endicott, deputy IT director, said the Police Department’s Telestaff scheduling system contract had expired and staff sought authorization to renew the subscription through UKG Kronos Solutions via the Omnia Partners cooperative purchasing agreement. He said the one-year renewal is $34,613 and that Telestaff handles police scheduling and complex time-entry needs that Workday cannot accommodate. The Council moved and approved authorization for the IT director to renew the subscription and to make other purchases through the cooperative agreement within budget.
Public Works Director Chad Buren reported the city was asked by the Puget Sound Regional Council to accept additional grant dollars and recommended the Council accept $1,216,100 for the South 212th Street Preservation project (59th Place South to 72nd Avenue South), amend the budget and authorize necessary agreements. The motion was moved, seconded and carried by voice vote.
