The Planning Commission unanimously approved a special use permit enabling Panini Kebab Grill to serve beer and wine on site at a tenant space in the Hollywood Park Tomorrow retail center.
Planner Angel Leon Martel described the tenant space at 1261 South District Drive as part of a major mixed‑use area and said alcohol service would be limited to on‑site consumption by wait staff, with additional surveillance cameras required. The restaurant’s floor plan includes indoor and patio seating and staff said the Inglewood Police Department will monitor activity in the center via an on‑site substation.
Scott Sanderson, representing Panini Kebab Grill, said the chain operates about 30 locations and that the beer and wine service is typical for its family‑style restaurants. Commissioners asked about security, staffing and ingress/egress; the applicant said the restaurant will be staffed and monitored and that cameras will be installed.
A motion to affirm the categorical exemption and approve SUP25‑00017 passed unanimously.
