Board approves Bushu Consulting agreement for HR risk management

The Galesburg Community Unit School District 205 board voted to approve an agreement with Bushu Consulting to serve as the district's human-resources risk-management firm. The presenter explained Bushu provides third-party administration for workers' compensation, unemployment and related HR risk matters.
The presenter told the board the district has worked with Bushu since about 2016 and that the company specializes in school-district HR risk services, representing more than 200 districts in Illinois. Board members asked whether other providers were considered and whether the contract had changed since the prior year; staff said Bushu is the longstanding partner and provided current-contract details in the meeting packet.
The board moved, seconded and recorded the approval of the agreement in the public record.
