Ordinance 28-20-25: Council approved Ordinance 28-20-25 by roll call, 4-1, with Council member Dave Potter recorded as the lone nay.
Library additional appropriation: Cheryl Dobbs, interim director of the Danville Public Library, requested an additional appropriation from library savings as an insurance policy against unexpected year-end expenses. The council opened the required public hearing, heard no public comment, and then approved Departments 31-20-25 by roll call (ayes).
Annexation: The council approved Resolution 1-20-25 to adopt the physical plan for voluntary annexation of three Sycamore Lane properties (motion carries 5-0) and introduced Ordinance 29-20-25 to annex property at 223 South Category 200 East (petitioner Robert McGrange); the introduction was moved and supported by roll call (5-0).
Appointments and RDC items: The council acknowledged the RDC’s 2026 spending plan and approved an appointment recommendation for the county economic development board (Jerry Vornholt). The council also approved swapping appointments on the fire territory board, naming Greg Erby as the council representative (term concurrent with his council seat) and Chris Gerald as the citizen representative for a four-year term ending Dec. 2029. The council approved a request from the Danville Downtown Partnership for a letter of commitment so the partnership may apply for 2026 programs and grants.
