O'Sara described the Foundation's broader 'Access in Action' work—scholarships for children, youth, families, veterans and seniors—and highlighted the new EPIC (Explore, Play, Imagine, Connect) after-school enrichment program. She said the Dunham Foundation provided a $330,000 grant to cover the EPIC program costs for children from families at or below the poverty level and noted the foundation had funded roughly $90,000 in access and action grants this year, with about $60,000 going into Parker's Foundation. O'Sara asked the board and residents to help publicize EPIC's open enrollment at Nicholson Elementary and other sites where applicable.
The board thanked O'Sara for the presentation and noted the donation will support local children and families.
