Miami Gardens City Council approved, on second reading, a rezoning request changing the land‑use designation for a property at the northwest corner of NW 123rd Lane and 36 Court from AU (architectural and utilities/auto‑related) and R‑1 (single‑family residential) to Planned Development (PD).
City staff noted there were no changes to the project since first reading other than a corrected legal description. The item went to public comment (no speakers) and the council voted 7–0 to adopt the ordinance as presented. Staff recommended approval and said the corrected legal description had been updated in the record.
The approval allows the applicant to proceed with project entitlements consistent with PD conditions and the exhibits attached to the ordinance. Planning staff will continue to monitor compliance with PD conditions including required permits and infrastructure improvements.
