Lake Bluff board approves rush schedule for West Scranton Avenue storm-sewer work

Village staff and the project engineer reported they had presented the closure plan to nearby residents and that local feedback favored expediting the work despite short-term disruption. The village purchasing policy permits the administrator to change completion time when there is no contract price change, but staff brought the amendment to the board in the interest of transparency because it materially alters the contract completion date.
Trustees voiced support for the accelerated schedule, noting communications efforts and resident outreach; the resolution passed by roll call. The board said staff would continue neighborhood outreach and coordinate traffic and construction notifications.
