Staff also reported resubmitting an application to the Ready grant program (transcript states roughly $11,000,000 remained in the program). They said if the application is successful and the bridge element is included the town could receive roughly $400,000 toward the first phase, assuming a 1:1 match — a figure presented as an estimate rather than a guarantee.
No grant award or contract was finalized at the meeting; staff said they had two days to assemble the application and will notify the board if the award is received.
