Jefferson Elementary Principal Tim Ayers Honored at Dec. 15 Board Meeting

The Caldwell-West School District Board of Education honored Jefferson Elementary Principal Tim Ayers at its Dec. 15 meeting, celebrating his 19½ years leading the school and his connection with students and families.
Adam Geyer, principal of Lincoln School, called Ayers’ tenure “an amazing career” and noted Ayers’ consistent presence at student activities and ability to build culture and traditions at Jefferson. Board members praised Ayers for creating a caring environment and for traditions such as student announcements and school events that students remember.
Ayers thanked colleagues and shared anecdotes about instituting a four-school kickball tournament and said he plans to spend more time with family and pursue handyman work in retirement. Colleagues described Ayers as energetic and student-centered.
The tribute was part of the superintendent’s report; no formal board action was required for the ceremonial recognition.
