She noted the monument sign at the government center includes commemorative text that will need font adjustments for legibility. Committee members were asked to provide comments on the proposed signs within the next few weeks so staff can incorporate changes into the bid set.
A supervisor asked whether the signage was already budgeted. Hirdrich said exterior signage was included in the overall project budget; the committee discussed a $100,000 sign-budget line that had been part of the original project funding.
Hirdrich said staff will do field placement with the sign vendor when installation occurs to ensure accurate location and legibility.
