Board previews property conveyances and schedules December/January meetings

Madison County — At the Dec. 1 workshop, staff told the board that contract drafts to convey the annex and two elementary properties (references to Greenville Elementary and Leon Pineda School) are in preparation and will be circulated for review this week.
Mr. Reeves and Miss Logan reported they have exchanged drafts and expect to present contracts to the board and to the other parties shortly. Staff also said the annual interlocal agreement with Leon County for exceptional-student-education (ESE) services will be attached for board review ahead of the voting meeting.
The board set its meeting schedule for the near term: a voting meeting on Dec. 15 (regular meeting) followed by a workshop the next morning, Dec. 16, at 8:30 a.m., which will serve to prepare the January agenda. January’s regular meeting was set for Jan. 12, with an additional Jan. 20 workshop to prepare February’s agenda. Staff said they will send calendar invites and attachments; no votes on conveyances occurred at the workshop.
The board adjourned after confirming logistics and follow-up items.
