Cathy Clark of Ace Lighting Services told the commission the proposal replaces the existing west-elevation neon sign with new channel letters and a small cabinet that reads "Steakhouse" to match the building’s east elevation. Planner Brian Franz said the proposed west elevation sign measures about 42.66 square feet and asked the applicant to provide square footage for existing signs so staff could confirm the total.
Franz noted the total allowable signage for the site, after an applicable 40% bonus, is 283 square feet. The commission approved the sign subject to administrative verification that the total remains below that threshold.
The applicant said she would provide the existing-signage square footage to staff. The approval was made by voice vote; commissioners recorded no roll-call vote in the transcript.
