Terrace Park officials report personnel promotions, ARPA-funded drainage repairs and fall service dates

Village Administrator and Police Chief Gerald May Howe reported that contractor JK Muro will install a new catch basin and drain on Terrace Place to address recurring ponding and potholes. Howe said about "95% of this project will be paid with ARPA funds," drawing from the village's remaining ARPA allocation. He also announced that leaf pickup would begin Monday, Oct. 14, and asked residents to place leaves (no sticks) at the curb; Mrs. Lyons will send a Code Red notice to residents.
Buildings and Grounds reported on discussions with the Ohio River Foundation about invasive species removal at the nature preserve. The foundation proposed mechanical and chemical removal, but council members raised questions about long-term benefit, storage and payment for chemicals and the program's long-term funding; members asked for clarification before committing to a long-term effort.
The council also noted community events: a pancake supper planned for Nov. 10 at St. Tom's, and the Garden Club donated an 85-inch AV television to village facilities.
The meeting closed after routine committee reports and a unanimous voice vote to adjourn.
