Fremont County School District #25 board adopts policies on first reading and approves new Riverton High School courses

Separately, Trustee (Speaker 5) presented Riverton High School’s new course proposals — Senior Science Capstone; Health Promotion and Wellness; Intro to Business; Technical Writing; Beginning Choir; Advanced Choir; and Piano Lab — and moved their approval for the 2026–27 school year. The motion was seconded and approved by voice vote. Trustee (Speaker 3) requested that school staff present more detailed course information at a future board meeting.
Both actions were passed by voice vote and recorded in the meeting minutes; the board did not take roll‑call votes in the transcript. Implementation responsibilities were assigned to district offices: policy updates to the policy office and course implementation to the curriculum department, which was asked to schedule a follow‑up presentation.
