Planning commission to review marijuana zoning amendments Aug. 5; council to receive first reading Aug. 1

John Gaski, speaking for Planning & Zoning, told the Village of Terrace Park Council on June 24 that the planning commission has added language to zoning regulations concerning medical and recreational marijuana sales, use and cultivation. Gaski said the planning commission will meet at 5:45 p.m. on Aug. 5 to review the proposed amendments and to give the public an opportunity to ask questions and comment.
Gaski said the planning commission will share the recommended amendments with council; the council expects a resolution for a first reading on Aug. 1. Council members indicated this will largely implement or clarify existing exclusions in the zoning code that pertain to marijuana uses in the village.
