Pennsauken Committee approves two ordinances, consent resolutions and bills at Dec. 4 meeting

The Pennsauken Township Committee voted unanimously to approve two ordinances and a consent agenda at its Dec. 4 committee meeting.
Ordinances: Clerk read Ordinance 2025-16, an amendment to a redevelopment plan covering a park within the Route 73 corridor (Block 2007, Lots 11.012 and 3). After opening the public floor and receiving no public comments, the committee moved and approved the ordinance by roll call. The clerk also read Ordinance 2025-19 amending the municipal code (chapter 2–99 Vehicles and Traffic) to add a handicap parking sign on 45th Street; the committee opened and closed the public floor with no speakers and approved the ordinance by roll call.
Consent agenda: The committee approved a slate of routine resolutions on the consent agenda. Items read on the record included an award of contract to purchase a replacement ambulance for the Pennsauken Township EMS Department; an amendment to a 2024 resurfacing contract for Eaton Lane reducing the contract by $54,544.47; authorization to submit a grant application and execute a grant contract with the New Jersey Department of Transportation for a National Highway Roadway Improvement Project; use of a cooperative contract for traffic-signal and related electrical services under the Cherry Hill cooperative pricing system (identifier 33CHCPS); renewal of bid 2402 for clothing and merchandise for the municipal country club; and a resolution authorizing the refund of a zoning-board escrow (details as read on the record).
Bills: The clerk presented the bills for November 2025. The amount read on the record was transcribed as "$11,610,000 $610,473.56"; the reading on the record was unclear in the transcript and the committee roll call approved payment.
Procedural notes: The committee opened a public-comment period and recorded no members of the public wishing to speak. Committee members used the meeting to highlight recent community events including a tree-lighting ceremony and an Angel Tree donation; the committee announced a ribbon-cutting for Jake’s Place on Dec. 16 at 11 a.m.
