Barrington trustees honor longtime volunteer Anna Bush, commend Public Works director Braun; approve consent agenda and warrants

The Village of Barrington Board of Trustees on Dec. 15 issued a proclamation recognizing Anna Markley Bush for 40 years of public service to the village, recounting her decades of work on the Plan Commission and as a trustee.
"On behalf of... the residents of the village of Barrington, I hereby express collective gratitude for Anna Markley Bush's contributions to the village," President Mike Moran read during the proclamation, which lists Ms. Bush’s long service on the Plan Commission and other community organizations.
The board also read a proclamation honoring Public Works Director Fred Braun for receiving the Illinois Arborist Association Award of Merit. Trustees thanked Braun and the public-works team for their work during recent storms and holiday events.
Later in the meeting the board considered a lengthy consent agenda that included, among many items, a motion appointing Dan Hogan as chairperson of the Plan Commission and Zoning Board of Appeals (term ending December 2026); multiple Illinois Highway Code (MFT) resolutions; several tax-levy and tax-abatement ordinances relating to general obligation bonds; and the ordinance adopting the fiscal-year 2026 budget. Trustees set the items on the consent agenda and then approved the consent agenda by omnibus roll call vote, with roll-call answers recorded as yes. The warrants list for Dec. 15, 2025, totaling $2,515,778.32, was also approved by roll call.
