Cooke County Commissioners approved a motion allowing Constable Precinct 1 to keep both a Tahoe and a Crown Victoria, to be used as primary and backup vehicles shared between deputies.

During discussion commissioners weighed fuel and maintenance costs against operational flexibility. One commissioner said the arrangement had worked when a deputy used the Crown Victoria as a backup: "It worked out good for that instance." Another commissioner cautioned the court would need to monitor fuel and maintenance budgets and could stop the dual-vehicle usage if costs rose.

A motion to permit both vehicles was made and seconded; the court approved it 4–0. Officials asked the constable to monitor usage and return to court if budget impacts required further action.
