The board unanimously approved proposed changes to middle-school and high-school academic programs for the 2026–27 school year following a second reading.
Lori Marple, who led the presentation, described next steps for scheduling: the district will use Infinite Campus for student scheduling; counselors, principals and teachers will guide families through course choices; and a communications plan will roll out from late December through February with videos, emails and building-level events such as ninth-grade and sixth-grade welcome nights. Student advisory feedback from a recent Student Superintendent Advisory Committee meeting informed the district’s timeline and adjustments.
Board members and the superintendent praised the work of classroom teachers, counselors and the student advisory council. The motion to adopt the programs passed by roll call vote, 4–0. The approval triggers district staffing and scheduling workflows coordinated with the treasurer’s office to ensure appropriate staffing for classes.
