Missoula County commissioners voted to reappoint Nicole Sedlak to a two-year term on the Animal Control Board, which runs through Dec. 31, 2027.

County staff said Nicole submitted a letter of interest and noted one other applicant, volunteer Julie Edwards. Staff told commissioners the Animal Control Board "really loved both" candidates and described Nicole as a valued, active member.

A commissioner moved to keep Nicole on the board and encouraged Julie Edwards to reapply for future openings; another commissioner seconded the motion and the board voted in favor.

Staff and commissioners expressed appreciation for Julie Edwards' volunteer service and asked that she remain engaged with the board when future opportunities open.

The county clerk will record the reappointment and the Animal Control Board's roster will be updated accordingly.
