Commission postpones minutes and discusses signing tax anticipation notes

The Strafford County Commission opened its Dec. 18, 2025 meeting and postponed action on draft minutes for the 11 and 17, saying those minutes remain in draft form and require further review.
Under agenda Item 2, the commission discussed authorizing and signing tax anticipation note documents. Speaker 1 asked, “Diane, you got those for us?” and confirmed that the usual documents were available. Speaker 1 said the commission would sign them in the usual way and noted a logistical arrangement: “As long as we have 2 out of the 3 signatures, Pam will be in later.”
No vote on the tax anticipation notes was recorded in the public portion of the transcript; the documents were said to be on file and the commission indicated plans to sign them once signatures were available. The meeting then moved on to a separate discussion of bids and a subsequent motion to enter nonpublic session for contract negotiations.
