Law Director (name recorded in the minutes) told council the building- and fire-code ordinances will keep the village aligned with the latest model codes by automatically adopting the most recent published versions at the time of enforcement. "This will make these consistent and make sure we're always operating under the most recent, updated versions of those codes," the law director said.
