At the Dec. 16 meeting Mayor Moody presented ceremonial keys to the city to three long-serving public servants in a special-business segment honoring decades of service.
Mayor Moody introduced Ross Bittner, praising the Bittner family’s longstanding involvement with community events, and presented him a key "for decades of dedicated service and leadership to the city of Mount Healthy community and city council." Bittner briefly thanked colleagues and said his tenure had been an honor.
Paul Parsons was similarly recognized for his work guiding city finances; the mayor noted Parsons’ attention to detail in financial matters and presented him a key. Councilmember Denise offered brief farewell remarks, thanking residents for the opportunity to serve and saying she had been honored to work with colleagues past and present. The mayor announced a small reception with cake and refreshments after the meeting.
No formal council actions were taken as part of the recognition; the presentations were ceremonial. Council members and the mayor expressed appreciation and encouraged the honorees to remain involved in community affairs.
